With a name like Molson, it seems fitting that the famous animals he meets are the Budweiser Clydesdales. Even though they are competitors, they found common ground in their love of a cold refreshing union-made beer.
Mister Molson tried to blend in by pretending to be an Official Budweiser Clydesdale Dalmatian.
Thanks to Elliot’s creativity, the horses seemed to quickly accept Mister Molson.
Mister Molson was now ready to ride with the hitch team.
Molson jumps aboard and starts barking orders…”On Dasher, on Dancer, on Prancer and Vixen….”
Mister Molson, those are horses not reindeer, that’s a wagon not a sled, and you’re not Santa Paws. I shake my head. He just smiles.
Molson used to think he was a big dog, but standing next to the enormous and iconic Budweiser Clydesdales is enough to make anyone feel like a bit of an inferior creature.
These horses are so well trained that they even speak other animal languages. As they greeted each other, there was a “doggie friend request” as one of them gave Molson’s behind a sniff.
I think Mister Molson was a bit star struck. Maybe the horses were too.
We got to hang out and take a few more pictures before the event opened to the public.
A big thanks goes out to Madea Helf and Brewery Products for letting us visit these beautiful horses. For anyone who drove through York this week, you already recognize how popular they are and how many people are trying to get a look at them by the clogged roads all around Rte. 30 and Sherman st.
One thing I’m learning through Molson’s adventures is to never assume something is out of reach. Sometimes all you have to do is ask. Some people will say no but once in awhile you might get a once in a lifetime opportunity like getting to have your dog be a news anchor, or become president, or meet the most famous horses in the world. I will try to carry this lesson with me long after Molson. It is another thing this wonderful dog has taught me.
Thanks again Budweiser and Brewery Products!
