Taking a dog all over the world would be an almost impossible task. I couldn’t even find a way to get him to NYC. However, Mister Molson didn’t let that stop him. While he didn’t get to see the world, the world did get to see him. His story traveled to nearly every corner of the earth. I am still amazed at how famous he has become.
It started with a story by Ali Bradley on Fox43 (York, PA) who took the time to get to know him through a couple visits and an appearance at his wedding to Josie. From there, it caught on through various affiliated news agencies. About a week later, I got a call from the ABC office in NYC. They put together a video that reached over a million people. Then I was contacted by USA Today, Inside Edition, and even some news agencies out of the U.K. His story made even made it to CNN Headline News with Robin Meade. His story showed on national TV in Australia and India. It even showed up in Mandarin in Beijing, China. The google translation was rather funny. A magazine in the U.K. will be publishing his story next month. He also made the front page of our local newspaper.
I have received comments from people across the US and in countries like Luxembourg and Venezuela. It seems that he has found a way to inspire people far beyond where his legs could take him. His story spread through television, radio, and internet platforms from news agencies, animal lover sites, and various social media. I always knew this dog was special. Now everyone else knows it too. I still find it all unbelievable. For 12.5 years he made us laugh and smile. Now everyone got the opportunity to see his smiling furry face.

We never know just where our path will lead or who is watching. We started his adventures as a way to celebrate him, make new memories, and show him how much we appreciate everything he gave us. We thought it would be fun to share with family and friends and reflect upon the lessons this can teach us. We could not have imagined the level of support we got on our adventures. Everyone’s comments, emails, phone calls, and ideas helped make this journey legendary. We will never forget “The Summer of Molson” as the kids have begun to call it. The summer where nearly every activity revolved around this guy. The summer where we packed a lifetime of dog adventures into a couple of months. We owe our community a special thank you for helping us achieve so much. We could not have done it without all of you. We still have a few plans to keep Mister Molson’s legacy alive. Thank you for sharing Mr Molson with us! There is so much negative and bad going on in the world today it’s nice to see people rally around one of God’s beautiful animals. There are other doggies out there who I follow that just seeing them everyday makes me happy. Smiley the blind Golden Retriever is big example. He just got diagnosed with cancer and is spending every day loving life. He is on Facebook if anyone is interested in following him. I know Mr. Molson was proud to have you as his family!
The best part of Mr. Molson’s legacy was that something that was so sad turned into such life lessons for all of us and there were so many. No matter what your life circumstances you need to find a way to just enjoy every precious minute of this wonderful life we are given. In the end you gave Mr. Molson so much happiness and in turn he gave you a legacy that you will never forget. Thank you so much for sharing his story and I will always have Mr. Molson’s paw prints forever in my heart. Looking forward to hearing more about upcoming celebrations of the “Life of Mr. Molson”!!!
