It’s no secret that Mister Molson has always loved eating. I’m not sure how he maintains his figure. At the office he knows when it is lunchtime and starts to make his rounds to see what everyone is eating. If he hears the microwave buttons in the break room, he knows he has a few minutes until food is ready and takes his time walking down the hallway and seems to arrive just as the microwave lets out those magical beeps, indicating that a nice hot meal awaits. The office staff always seem to save a few bites for him. I think he eats better than I do. Whether it’s Larry’s extra bites of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, or Steve and Toni’s hot leftovers, Molson is there to make sure nothing goes to waste. He has a way of finding people’s soft spot.
Molson has eaten a lot of people food in his years. But rarely has gotten a special treat made just for him that didn’t come from a pet store. Grandpa Griffin treated Molson to a homemade ice cream bite when we were visiting. Molson, being no stranger to mooching, sat in his best behavior and displayed the saddest eyes you have ever seen. This time it was all his. He didn’t have to share or wait for the last bite. All for you Mister Molson. Thanks Grandpa Griffin!
The recipe included plain yogurt as the base. Then add 1/2 cup peanut butter, 1 mushed up banana, and a tablespoon of honey. (Drained tuna could also be used instead). It can be put in an ice cube tray with a milkbone as a pupsicle stick. Then freeze it to make the cold ice cream.
